What is Tulip Fest?
We are very excited to be opening our first ever Tulip Fest! We have planted rows and rows of beautiful tulips on our family farm for visitors to enjoy, in fact, we put in over 350,000 bulbs in the ground this past fall on 4 acres! We offer a unique experience for visitors to come enjoy being surrounded by tulips, take in their beauty and capture beautiful moments among the flowers! This is the only one of it's kind in the Grey-Bruce area!
Tulip Fest Bloom Guide
This is a GUIDE-ish - meaning it could fluctuate a couple of days as mother nature works her hand at turning green buds into colourful splendour.
May 10,11, 12: We open on the 10th and expect to have 25-40% of our tulips blooming. This is best for picking tulips as they last longer in your vase at home when they're picked slightly before opening (but not green). There will be sections of the field that are blooming, while others are still in buds.
May 13-18: expect to see the most vibrant tulips, exceptional for pictures as 50-80% are bloomed.
May 19th-closing: Overbloom: All tulips will have either bloomed or are in bloom. Tulips that are on their way out still have a lot of colour and will show up nicely for pictures.
What you need to know before you visit
- Tickets: Tulip Fest is a ticketed event! Tickets are recommended for weekends, purchase here to secure your spot.
- Admission: General Admission is $11.95 + fees + HST per person online, At the gate: $14.16+hst. Children 5 and under are free.
- U-Pick: Visitors are welcome to pick a bouquet of tulips to take home for an additional fee of $1.50/stem. A flower picked is a flower purchased.... meaning only pick flowers you intend to purchase. Bulbs stay in the ground (and will die after the flower is picked).
- Payment accepted: Tickets are purchased online with a credit card. We accept cash, debit or credit cards for bouquets and boutique items.
- Rain or shine: This is a rain or shine event. We will be open even during the rain. In the event of a severe weather threat (ie. thunderstorm or tornado) then we will close and provide options for ticket holders to reschedule.
- Parking: Free parking is available at the farm in designated areas.
- Drones: Drones are not permitted on the farm as this is our family home.
