About Sandhill Creek Sunflower Walk

What is a Sunflower Walk?

At Sandhill Creek we have planted 25 acres of beautiful sunflowers for visitors to enjoy.  We have cut multiple paths through these beauties which allows visitors to get up close and personal with 1,000,000 sunflowers!  Why would we do this?  Because being surrounded by such beauty is quite incredible.  It also makes for a unique photo opportunity, whether it's for the sunflowers themselves or your friends and family among the sunflowers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Are dogs allowed?

 A. Dogs on leashes are permitted on the farm during sunflower season.  Owners must clean up after their dogs.

Q. How long is the walk?

 A.  The main path is 1400m in length, with shorter options available - 450m or 900m.   There is also a sitting area, for senior citizens or those with mobility challenges, among the sunflowers should they wish to sit and wait for their loved ones instead of walking the longer paths (path is 150m).

Q. Is the farm suitable for mobility devices (strollers, wheel chairs, etc)?

 A.   The path is suited for mobility devices (strollers, wheel chairs, etc).  Please keep in mind it is still a field and there may be some weeds, ruts, or other challenges along the way.

Q. If it rains will it be muddy?

 A.  Our sandy soil holds up well in rain, it doesn't get muddy the way a loam field would.

Q. Are there washrooms on site?

  A.  There are porta potties available for our visitors to use.

Q. Are tickets required?

  A.  There are no tickets for our sunflower walk.  All admission is paid at the door.

Please respect our property so we can continue to open up our fields to others.
